Generoso format - ring size 42, length 132 mm - hand made - medium to full strength. In the Cuban tobacco industry cigars are classified according to two broad definitions - either a cigar is a straight "parejo" with a uniform ring size or a cigar falls into the "figurado" or "fancy pants" category. All of the Cuaba cigars fall into the latter category - that is, they define themselves according to their distinctive and non-uniform shapes. Take a look at the reviews and you will see that opinion on figurados is highly polarised. In general you either love them or you loathe them - few reviewers take the middle line. What is clear however is that the ancient tradition of smoking figurados that was especially popular amongst the British in the 1900-1920s is back. Since releasing Cuaba on the world market this brand of cigars now accounts for 0.5% of the entire Habanos market. That may not sound like a great deal but when a cigar has only been available since 1996 that is pretty good going.
