How are the cigars shipped?

The cigars are shipped by registered mail. All cigars go out as factory sealed boxes with the cigar bands on - in other words the boxes have never been opened since the day they left Cuba. If you wish us to inspect your cigars before shipping you should advise us to do so.
 

How long will it take for my cigars to arrive?

We ask for 4-10 days within the European Union and 7-14 days for the rest of the world (not including weekends or bank holidays). We usually ship within 24 hours of receiving your order. If there is going to be a delay we will contact you and give you the option to cancel.
 

Where do you get your Cuban cigars from?

All of our cigars are supplied to us from Altadis www.altadis.com the only official supplier of Cuban cigars in France and Spain.

In the United States the company is known as Altadis USA - www.altadisusa.com

Habanos S.A. are the only company responsible for the marketing and promotion of Cuban cigars throughout the world. Contrary, however to what many people think and to what some websites erroneously state as fact, Habanos S.A. are not the company that actually sell the Cuban cigars to the retailers. There is a worldwide distribution network of official suppliers appointed by Habanos S.A. who control each country's supply of Havana cigars. Are your cigars stored in humidors?

Yes, all of our Cuban cigars are stored in electronically controlled active humidors. The recommended optimum humidity for storing cigars is generally considered to be between 65 and 75% - see www.humidor-guide.com and www.cigarnexus.com for detailed information about storing cigars. We maintain our Havana cigars at 70% humidity and at 64? Fahrenheit (18? C). We maintain the cigars at the higher end of their recomended humidity in order to compensate for any moisture lost on their journey to the customer. Our cigars should reach you in perfect condition and ready for smoking. We advise that you either transfer the cigars from the sealed box you will receive or, if the humidor is big enough, place the entire box in a humidor. If you have no humidor then try to store the cigars in a cool, dark environment - maybe a tight fitting wooden drawer of a wardrobe or similar with a sponge soaked in water resting in a tray. Try to avoid placing the cigars close to central heating vents, radiatiors etc and never keep the cigars in a fridge - they will dry out.
